All about Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The three new Galaxy S22 handsets are now available. We compare their costs, cameras, screen sizes, and other features.
On February 9, 2022, Samsung debuted the next-generation Galaxy S22 portfolio, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, on its virtual Unpacked stage. For 2022, the phones' features, such as cameras, have been enhanced.
The Galaxy S22 starts at $800 for the basic model, then goes up to $1,000 for the Galaxy S22 Plus and $1,200 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The three phones have a similar glass and metal design, as well as the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 120Hz display refresh rate, and 40-megapixel front camera. With a 6.1-inch AMOLED display that's significantly smaller than the S22 Plus' 6.6-inch screen and the Ultra's 6.8-inch screen, the S22 is far more compact than its Pro brothers. It also looks to be a significantly lighter gadget, weighing only 168 grams vs 196 grams for the S22 Plus and 229 grams for the Ultra.
The ordinary S22, on the other hand, isn't all that different from the Plus model. Some critical components, such as the CPU and camera module, are almost similar.
The S22 and S22 Plus include three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel ultra wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens on the S22 and S22 Plus, respectively. On the back of the S22 Ultra is a four-camera module, led by a 108-megapixel primary camera. Two telephoto lenses and an ultrawide camera are also included.
Many of them are the kinds of incremental improvements that next-generation gadgets are projected to provide. The Ultra's new Note-like features, on the other hand, are what set it apart from the rest of the S22 series and the rest of the premium phone market. For the first time, a Galaxy S Ultra phone will include a pen in the package, as well as a place for storing it on the phone, similar to Samsung's nearly-defunct Note series. Fans of the S Pen who purchased the Galaxy S21 Ultra last year had to pay for the pen separately and locate a phone cover that could hold it.
The S22 Ultra is also the only device in the series to support ultrawide band, a radio technology that allows features like digital vehicle keys and lost item tracking to be powered.
