Great news! Since the Samsung Galaxy S22 has arrived, it's time to evaluate how Samsung has improved on last year's Galaxy S21. Don't get caught up in the megapixel count, though, because the S22 has a bigger sensor that allows for more light. The Galaxy S22 also sports a 10MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera, similar to the Galaxy S21's 10MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera.

The good news is that the software experience between the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 should be similar, at least in most cases. Because the S21 already has Android 12 and One UI 4 — the S22 will have the same Android version and One UI 4.1 when it launches.

The Galaxy S22 will have an advantage in terms of support longevity. This is due to the fact that it is a newer gadget. For all of its phones, Samsung maintains a three-year/4-year standard update strategy. However, according to a press statement we received, Samsung is increasing that timeline to four years of Android upgrades. Samsung also claims that this policy will apply to the Galaxy S21 retrospectively.
